The names of the fingers of the right and left hands of a guitarist

In guitar, the fingers on the left hand are numbered, while the fingers on the right hand are lettered.

Left Hand Fingers

Th – thumb finger

1 = index finger

2 = middle finger

3 = ring finger

4 = pinky finger

Right Hand Fingers

Each letter is an abbreviation for the spanish name of each finger:

p (pulgar) = thumb

i (indice) = index finger

m (medio) = middle finger

a (anular) = ring finger

e (extremo) or с = little finger
